Diesel Tractor/Trailer Mechanic

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Tractor/Trailer Mechanic is to serve as a valuable and vital asset to our team by being proficient in trailer fleet maintenance. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a solid mechanical background and at least three years of hands-on truck and trailer repair experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• · Performing PMs, tire services, and diagnosing and troubleshooting repairs such as brakes, clutches, transmission work, electrical, sensors, pumps
• · Diagnosing and troubleshooting repairs such as repair of damaged trailers, including floors, roofs, walls, and supports, and must be experienced in brakes, electrical, performing PMs, tire services, etc.… Welding experience preferred.
• · Complete all repairs and paperwork promptly
• · On-call rotation and working in the elements are also required

Must have:

• · Own tools
• · Clean driving record and VALID driver’s license required

Qualifications and Skills:

• · Must have hands-on diesel mechanic experience
• · Must be able to diagnose and repair tractors/trailers
• · We are willing to add to your skills by providing vendor training
• · We will prepare you and pay for the ASE exams you pass.
